Chris' medical and legal fees
Christopher was admitted to Concord hospital in Concord NH on Thursday Aug 12th. He was diagnosed with Covid Pneumonia. A few days in after no information and poor care, he was ready to sign himself out. The doctors quickly put him in ICU, stopped offering any kind of nutrients and continued to threaten to put him on a ventilator. After too many days of this, we let them know Chris was not to be intubated as I was working on having him moved to another facility. They argued with us but we stood firm on that point. Within a couple hours, I was informed by one of my husband's doctors that they intubated him anyway. I informed them I would be calling a lawyer as I have the texts from my husband stating he was afraid they would force that procedure on him. An hour passed and I got another call from the hospital stating my husband had taken a turn for the worse and would need to be moved to Mass General. They sent him to Dartmouth Medical Center instead to get started on an Echmo procedure.
As you can imagine, this has all been horrific for the both of us. I would never never never put my business out there in the world like this nor am I comfortable asking for help in this manner. However, the medical expenses, as well as the legal fees are piling up. I need to hire someone to advocate for my husband as he is now incapacitated and I'm not allowed to be there with or for him.
Even if all you can do is share our story, we
will be eternally grateful.
