Chris needs your help to support his Fight with Cancer

Thank you for taking the time to read this post. Most of you might know me and some of you might not. However, you all know my brother. My name is Margaret and recently I found out that my younger brother Chris has been recently diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (bone/blood cancer). The news was devastating to him, his family, our family, and everyone he knows.
This cancer is not curable. It is, however, treatable to some extent. There is no way of knowing what his actual survival rate will be even with treatment. He could live 10 years or only 1 year. What we do know is that the cancer he has is extremely painful. He has already been diagnosed with multiple tumors along his spine. The treatments of chemotherapy, radiation, and drugs will be extensive and very expensive. Although Chris has insurance, it's not the best for coverage and treatment could range up to hundreds of thousands of dollars. He will spend full days receiving treatment, which will result in loss of time at work, which of course results in loss of pay. Chris is the main income earner for his household. The stress of not being able to provide for your family... that alone is enough to make you lose sleep at night. Now imagine you've been told you have CANCER and it's not curable. It's too much. How do you focus on yourself when you are worried about everyone else?
Most of you know what a great human my brother is. Chris is the one you go to if you need anything. He is always there for you. He always finds the time to help you if he can. He is kind, patient, loving, and supportive. Without even a thought, always doing for others and putting others first before himself. He has a great sense of humor and is fun to be around. I think we can all agree that the world is a better place with him in it.
Chris is also a fighter. He does intend on fighting this cancer. With that said, it will take a lot of time and money. Overwhelming medical expenses aside, I really don't want Chris to worry about the simplest of things that maybe we all take for granted: paying for groceries, bills, rent/mortgage. Chris needs to focus on fighting this cancer and his health, not worrying about how he will pay for all his medical expenses and keeping a roof over his family's head and food on the table.
That's where all of you come into this part of his journey. I'm trying to raise $50,000 with the hope that we exceed that amount for him. Please gift whatever you can afford. Any amount will be greatly appreciated. FUCK CANCER!
