Chris Ostrowski Recovery Fund

The first thing that strikes you when you meet Chris is his great sense of humor, his joy in living and the immense love he has for his entire family.  He’s a fun, energetic, great guy who works extremely hard at his printing company.  Getting the Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia diagnosis two years ago seemed awful, but learning that CLL is slow growing and he possibly wouldn’t need treatment for 20 years – it was a little easier to take.  That all changed dramatically last month when, after his routine blood test, his doctor instructed him to rush to the emergency room for multiple blood transfusions and a 12 day hospital stay.  It turns out it wasn’t the slow growing type after all.
 
After a bad reaction to the initial chemotherapy, he’s been forced to rebuild his immune system while relying on chemotherapy infusions and frequent blood transfusions to fight this awful disease.  The treatments have left him exhausted and unable to work the long hours he usually does to provide for his family – his amazing wife Connie and his three great kids, Jessie, Jamie and Jacob.  When supporting your family is your life’s work, asking for help is even more difficult.  But those of us that love Chris just want to give him the peace of mind he needs to focus all of his energy on battling this terrible disease – without worrying about house payments and medical bills. We’d like to raise $25,000 to give Chris and his family the time to focus on his health, without worrying about the lost income.
