Helping to raise money for the family of Gilly Harland, who sustained major head injuries as a result of being hit by a car outside her home on 5/10/23.
Gilly, a much loved teacher at Christ the King College was badly injured outside her home on Thursday morning. She will remain in hospital in Southampton for the foreseeable future being treated for her injuries. This fund has been set up to assist with ferries and accommodation for her partner and children when visiting her on the mainland, and to help towards the loss of earnings for her and her fiancé Chris, a self employed, island-renowned musician.
Gilly may need medical care for weeks/months, so I ask anyone who knows them and their two little boys to donate what they can for ferries, accommodation and loss of earnings. Gilly and Chris do so much for others, it would be great to help in any way we can when they need help the most.
UPDATE: Due to a fabulous response to this fundraising page, we had reached our initial target, I have increased this as the family will need as much support as they can as you can imagine due to lack of salaries. It is also expected for recovery to possibly take several months so please keep giving and sharing x
UPDATE: It has been requested by the family to lower the target down to £10,000 as they feel this is sufficient support for the near future in helping with their situation. Thank you so much for all donations so far it most certainly will help them. I will leave this page up for now to reach the target.
