Hospitalized TxDOT Hero San Antonio - Chris Rose

Chris Rose is the midnight shift supervisor for the TxDOT Heros of San Antonio. The responsibility of these heroes is for roadside assistance as well as assisting officers In the events of highway traffic accidents.
In the early morning of August 21st, Chris was assisting the officers in closing down the 410 highway at Murbach Road from a prior accident.
While redirecting traffic an inattentive driver did not heed the warning to move over and collided with Chris's truck resulting in severe injuries.
Chris is currently in "Critical yet stable condition", has undergone extensive surgery, and is showing progress.
Chris has spent his life in service to others as a police officer and corrections Seargent before joining the TxDOT Heros.
Although Chris works in San Antonio he and his wife live 2.5 hours away from the hospital. She has had to take a leave of absence from her job to be by his side. His medical bills are covered by the workman's compensation, but the loss of income by his wife and 30% of his standard income will incur hardship.
He is looking at a lengthy recovery and it is unknown if he will be able to return to work. Any donation would go a long way in assisting his family through this hard time.
