Chris Sarmiento Memorial, Husband, Father & Friend

Today we lost a very special man to Covid-19. Chris was a wonderful husband, father, friend, teacher... and coach. Chris is survived by his wife, Mary, and three children. Chris taught Social Studies at Vista Middle School's (Las Cruces, NM). He was an essential part of the 6th grade team. We will miss his smile and his "tell it like it is" personality. He always wanted everyone to work their hardest... And make no excuses. He brought out the best in his students and colleagues. He would do anything for anyone as long as they put forth 100% effort. 

Please help us make sure his wishes for his family are realized. Chris was very invested in the lives of his wife and children. He was always talking about his children with a huge smile on his face... Even when speaking of his new baby boy after being up all night, exhausted but ready to teach! Or when speaking about his 2 daughters and the milestone in life that he was already planning for, their quinceaneras. He grasped his heritage and wanted his family to as well.
