Chris, the mayor of Shafter Ave. had a stroke.

Hi neighbors:

If you have walked the 5100 block of Shafter Ave. you have no doubt been greeted by Chris, the beloved man who sits on his front porch and greets everyone who passes by.

Last week he sadly suffered a stroke and is working on his recovery. He is in a fair amount of pain and working to get his speech back. I thought it would be nice if we could "give back" some of the joy he spreads to our neighborhood by offering him a Go Fund Me.

Please donate any amount and write a note if you so desire. Also, give him a little extra love next time you see him on his porch.
