Chris Utesch Family

Living in a small community is what makes us all who we are and that is the reason we wanted to push forward and create this GoFundMe account for dear friends of ours who are like family. Chris Utesch recently got news of the 6 letter word that no one wants to hear. He has been dealt with two different cancers cards. B-Cell Lymphoma and Follicular Lymphoma. Chris is in Stage 4 Lymphoma, it is in his lymph nodes and they have found some spots on his bones. This B-cell is a far more aggressive cancer, which will require an aggressive chemo plan moving forward.  It will last at least 4-5 months with a port medication in addition to an oral medication. He will be getting his port placed, and then plans to start chemo as directed. They do not know how his body will react to these treatments so they will have to navigate these results as they go. The follicular lymphoma is a slow cancer and they are not planning to focus on that right now. Chris will have another full week of testing next week where they hope to get even more answers. They are seeking all the information they can find at this point and are trying to meet this unknown journey of their lives with as much optimism as possible. The greatest news is that their oncologist said that this is treatable and beatable. Chris and Kashe were very optimistic to hear this news. Chris is determined to beat this just as he would be if he were walking out on the mat. If you know him, you know that. This road won't be an easy ride and may have bumps and detours along the way. Chris is a pretty private person and he may find it difficult to accept alot of attention about this, but we wanted you all to be able to help in his battle in one way or another. At the end of the day, we want him and his family to know they have an enormous amount of love and support coming their way. We do ask to please respect their need for privacy through some of these trying times. We will be sure to post updates as they come our way. Anything you can do to help lighten their load or make their days ahead a little easier would be greatly appreciated. If this option to donate isn't in your comfort zone, there has also been a special account set up for The Chris Utesch Family at Security National Bank in Akron as well where you can walk in and donate directly.  Please know that as a family who has been in these troubling shoes, it means more then you know...so thank you in advance and keep those prayers coming. Stage 4 just means we fight more. In Chris's terms "the stage changes nothing...I will beat this" #Uteschstrong❤   Sincerely #Hulstrong
