Chris Van Houten

Donation protected
Prior to March 6, 2023, Chris was busy with his state and nationwide work as a school psychologist, traveling, becoming an ordained minister (to officiate the wedding of his little sister, Kelly, in the fall), and living life to the fullest.

On March 6, 2023 Chris was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic melanoma and he began the fight of his life. Chris has maintained a positive outlook throughout his journey, and he is determined to continue living his life to the fullest.

From the life of the party to a highly respected professional, Chris is certainly one of a kind.
No matter how it is that you know Chris, if you’re a part of Chris’ life, you’ve certainly experienced his love for life, his joy in connecting with others, and his passion for enhancing the lives of children.

This fundraiser is organized by Chris’ sister, Kelly (Van Houten) LeConche. Any donations will be used to keep Chris as comfortable as possible throughout his journey. Chris also has a lot of goals for his legacy to continue and this will help ensure that our family is able to uphold them to the best of our ability.

To say the outreach to our family has been overwhelmingly incredible is an understatement. Please use this as an opportunity to send a message to Chris. Our family will compile these messages and share them with him as much as possible.

Thank you so much for all of the well wishes, offers to help and pure love that you have/continue to share with our family.
