Chris Vitale's Buddy Bench Eagle Scout Project

Hi, my name is Chris Vitale and I am a Life Scout in Troop 750 in North Reading, MA. I am working towards the rank of Eagle Scout which is the highest rank possible in Scouting. To earn this rank it requires a leadership project which I am planning to buy, build and install a Buddy Bench for the LD Batchelder School playground. A buddy bench is a seat in a school playground where a child can go when they feel alone and want someone to talk to or play with. A child feeling the need for a friend to talk to can sit on the buddy bench and other children and staff will recognize this as a sign that some help, support or comfort is needed and will come to talk with the child. I have already raised $300 from a Fuddruckers restaurant night but I am still short of the money needed to fund my project.
