Chris Weigel's Critical Road to Recovery (TBI)

Dear Friends,
Help is needed for Chris’ road to recovery from a devastating motorcycle accident!
On July 31st, while heading home from work Chris was in a motorcycle accident (malfunction of motorcycle) which ironically was on the same road he lost his father to in a car accident when he was just 16.
His wife and oldest son, Trevor, rushed to him while the medic team took him to the hospital where he had an emergency craniectomy to repair a brain bleed and to relieve pressure. Since the surgery, he has been in a medically induced coma while his body heals and fights off infection.
It has been tough to see this very strong and willful man lying incapacitated in a hospital bed unable to tell his family he loves them or to run his landscaping crew. The doctors attest that his strength and spirit will be a major aspect to his progress. This is uplifting to hear yet it has been especially tough for his wife and three sons.
Twenty years ago, Chris met the love of his life, Kristen, in high school and the two have been inseparable since. Chris is a devoted husband and father to 3 boys (19, 11 and 7) and multiple fur-babies.
Allowing us to create this GFM is very hard for them since they are a proud family with strong work ethic who have built a humble life for themselves and their sons from literally nothing. They never had an easy road, starting their family in their teens, but they grew together and raised a wonderful family and a family run Landscaping business in honor of Chris’ best friend, Mike, who had passed away in 2015.
Chris is especially proud of his oldest son, Trevor, who graduated high school last year and is putting himself through college while helping Chris with the landscaping crew.
Kristen is Chris’ rock and keeps him grounded while managing the house they bought a few years ago and the busy lives of their 2 younger sons. Now, we need to be her rock while she tends to Chris in the hospital, runs the house and business, cares for the boys, pets and her grandmother as well as being strong for everyone
Chris is the sole provider, the funds raised will help the family with daily life while he is not working, medical bills and, ultimately, traumatic brain injury rehabilitation care.
In this time of extreme emotional heartache, we rely on the kindness of family, friends and extended friends or strangers to Chris and his family to help the family make it through this very difficult time in order to welcome Chris home and start his Road to Recovery.
We are grateful for any support, financial, emotional and spiritual to help lift this family up until Chris is able to do so again.
