In honour of Chris Wohlgemuth and Family

Chris and his beloved wife Ashley are fixtures in the community of Barriere. Chris as head chef and owner of Sam’s Pizza, and Ashley as Fire Chief. Both have endlessly volunteered their time and services for many years and were loved by all. And for many in our community, it’s Ashley who has been there during our darkest hours and now she needs our help.

During the first week of January, on a well deserved and deeply anticipated family trip to Mexico with their two children, Morgan (13) and Mason (12), Chris experienced a fatal heart attack.

Ashley has been left to figure out the devastating reality of not only life without her husband, but also life without a chef for their restaurant (their primary income). Facing mounting costs from the tragic end of their family holiday, the upcoming expenses providing necessary supports for their children, and to be able to take some time off work, we would like to work together as a community to offer tangible support.
