Please help bring Chris Hayden Home

On December 30, 2015, Chris Hayden's life was changed forever.

Chris and his 13 year old daughter, Cassidy, were heading home when he was rear ended by a full sized truck. The injuries from the impact resulted in Chris having a broken neck, broken back and severed spinal cord which has left him permanently paralyzed from the chest down, he is now a quadriplegic.

As a result, Chris is bound to a wheelchair and needs assistance with all of his daily activities.

Currently, he is in a rehabilitation facility waiting to come home.

In order to do this, our home must be modified to accommodate the needs of a quadriplegic and his specially made 425 pound wheelchair. A metal ramp to support the weight of the occupied wheelchair must be installed. The outside door must be enlarged. A platform incline wheelchair lift is required to reach the lower and upper level of our bi-level home, without this he would not be able to gain access to the home other than the foyer. A handicapped accessible van is vital. These are just a few of the things that are necessary to make it possible for him to come home and we can not do any of this without your help.

Prior to December 30, 2015, Chris Hayden had a normal life. He was a dedicated father to three beautiful daughters. Two are in college and the youngest is going into high school in the fall. His children are his world and he deserves the chance to lead the most normal life that he possibly can after this tragedy. He truly needs to be at home where he will be surrounded by his children and loved ones.

Chris has a wonderful attitude throughout all of this and continues to fight everyday to regain some of his hand and arm mobility. He remains hopeful that he will one day be able to feed himself, brush his hair and teeth as well as other daily activities that we all take for granted. The progress that he is making is truly remarkable and we couldn't be more proud of him for not giving up.

We are in desperate need of funding and any size donation is greatly appreciated!

Here is a list of what is essential to bring him home:

Door $1,000.00
