Chrisie Byrne

Chrisie Byrne, the Founder of Friends of Walton Hall Park CIC and Chair of Liverpool Parks Friends Forum among many others, volunteered tirelessly in Walton Hall Park and was valued and respected by loads of us. She was a true grass-roots activist, always with time for people, whether it be to help them, or just someone to listen or a shoulder to lean on. She worked endlessly with all the volunteers and committee to set up Walton Hall Park Community Garden and Café. Chrisie and her volunteers considered their Park the heart of their historic Kingdom of Walton. She also worked strategically to protect Liverpool Parks for future generations, and was immensely committed and talented, always with a laugh and a smile. She died too young on January 2nd 2023 at the age of just 51. This fundraiser is to go towards celebrating her life in a way, which befits the scope of her legacy, so that people from Walton and beyond can pay their respects. Any monies over will go to sustain the work of the Friends of Walton Hall Park CIC and her legacy.
