Chrissy’s Angels set up this GoFundMe page to raise money for Christine Pastore-Church.
On November 14, 2016 Christine was diagnosed with Stage III/IV Breast Cancer. This diagnosis was a shock to her and her family. Up until this point Christine was the epitome of health. She ate all the right things and exercised regularly. Immediately she began her 12 month treatment of chemotherapy, radiation and immunotherapy. During this time she was unable to work, exercise and enjoy the things that you and I may take for granted. Christine did everything the doctors asked and more to beat this disease. With the support and love from her family and friends her cancer went into remission and she was able to return to work October 2017, almost a year after her diagnosis.
February 2018 Christine was scheduled for surgery to begin the breast reconstruction, and expected to return to work and normal activities within 6 weeks. When she went for her checkup 3 weeks after surgery and she was given a clean bill of health. Shortly after she got sick and was having a hard time recovering from it. On April 11th her husband, Kevin brought her to the emergency room. After running some tests they were told that she had AML (Leukemia) and was likely brought on by the chemotherapy treatment for the breast cancer. Doctors wanted her to start chemotherapy treatment right away. As you can imagine this news was devastating. She was finally in a place where she felt like she was getting her life back. And now 6 months after completing her chemo for breast cancer she has to go through that hell gain. Her first 7 day round of chemo hit her hard and she had to spend 5 of those days in ICU. Finally back in her regular room she was told that she will need a bone marrow transplant and will remain hospitalized.
This has been a nightmare for Christine and her family. Her husband has been by her side every day ensuring that she is getting the care that she needs. Christine and Kevin are private and proud people, but we know this is too much for them to bear alone. This is why we; Chrissy’s Angels, are setting up this GoFundMe campaign. And Gina Walter, Christine and Kevin's life long friend is set up as the beneficiary ensuring that the funds are allocated as needed. We are asking for your help, whether it’s prayer, reaching out, or helping offset costs associated with this diagnosis. Our goal is to allow Christine and Kevin to focus on what needs to be done to get her healthy again. Cancer takes a toll, physically, mentally and financially. Let us help them ease that burden any way we can.
