Christa Burris, daughter of Tammy Bass

Hi, my name is Sandy Stilwell Youngquist. I am helping a friend and former member of my staff raise money to pay for the funeral expenses and other out-of-pocket expenses regarding her daughter, Christa Burris. Christa's precious life was taken as a victim of domestic violence. Our hearts are broken for Tammy and Christa's family during this most difficult time. She lived in Lehigh Acres. We want to thank Sheriff Carmine Marceno and his competent staff for their help in finding her and helping solve this crime. The family knew something was seriously wrong when there was no word from her on Father's Day, and she missed several days of work, which was so unlike Christa. She always put her best foot forward.

Tammy was part of our staff and helped with events and coordination. Additionally, her daughter, Christa Burris, worked for me. She ran the small Inn in the Keys and did an excellent job until I sold it. She then helped me at my Captiva Island Inn until Hurricane Ian hit. Because it would be a long time before we could re-open, she sought new employment, found a great job at Naples Soap Company, and became a valuable part of their team. Tammy has been concentrating on her husband, Ron's cancer and Hope Hospice has been beneficial to them. Tammy became employed by a Retirement Community and does special events. The residents there, including my parents, have grown to see her smiling face and enjoy her commitment to her workplace.

If you would like to contribute to them, rather than sending flowers, please consider donating. No donation will be too small to help.

Christa Marie Burris passed into God’s loving arms on June 14th, 2024. She is survived by her parents Tammy and Ronald Bass and Gary Burris, grandparents Janet and Ray Spencer, and Clara and Jerry Jones, sisters and brothers-in-law Julia and Rusty Taylor, Rachel and Buddy Haynes, Sarah and Jake Burris-Hiday, and family and friends. She was fiercely proud of her “littles”: nephews Colton, Spencer, and Westin Taylor, Andrew Haynes and niece Aurora Haynes.
Christa was born on November 16, 1988 and shared her life across Indiana, Ohio, and Florida.
She was kind hearted, had an exceptional ability to connect with people to fulfill their needs, and was always determined to help others find their joy. Her abilities carried into both her personal
and professional life. She loved to do “shenanigans” with her sisters and her littles, and she especially enjoyed giving gifts to show her love. She was a wonderful dog-mom to her black
labradors, Marlo and Mya. Christa developed a green thumb for indoor plants, bringing life and color into her home where she loved to read and watch movies.
Christa was always ready to support and uplift everyone around her. She loved to laugh and share whatever silly thing was on her mind. Christa was taken from this earthly life too early and will be
so deeply missed by all. We take solace that she was a child of Jesus Christ. We are blessed to be able to be reunited with her in Heaven.
Celebrations of life will take place in Indianapolis and Fort Myers, and details will be shared at a later time. The family appreciates your prayers and respect for their privacy. The funds will be used to cover the expenses and help with transportation. Her mother, Tammy Bass will be the person who will administer the funds.
