Christian Bowen’s Fight Against Dermatomyositis

Hi, my name is Stuart Johnston. I am creating this Go Fund Me as a way to help my cousin Jared Bowen. Jared and Felicia’s eight year old son Christian was recently diagnosed with a very rare autoimmune disease called Dermatomyositis. There is NO cure, however there is treatment with the end result being remission. Treatment has already begun as his doctors are taking a very aggressive approach. They will be traveling to Albuquerque every week for the next two years. Christian will under go infusions every two weeks at UNM hospital with at-home medication & injections the week in-between. Christian will also have MRIs and lab work at least every three months as well. The Bowen’s are going to be faced with a tremendous amount of medical bills as well as traveling expenses. This Go Fund Me has been set up so that others can contribute to help offset the mounting expenses. In all of this, the family’s main goal is that God is glorified!!
