Christian Busking Project

Donation protected
Hello, welcome to the Christian Busking Project. We believe that London belongs to God. Unfortunately, youth crime, knife and gun crime, anger, violence, and fatherlessness has held our young people hostage and we aim to take territory for God: going onto the streets of London; using both music and poetry to achieve several things:

Draw young people to Christ through music
Talk to young people about Christ
Feed the homeless and those on the streets
Offer information about Christ and local churches
Raise money for a Youth Centre and shelter

The problem
Last year, we went out to minister and many young people got involved and even gave their lives to Christ. Young people involved in the project, as well as young people walking the streets stopped; in awe and encouraged that other young people were openly worshipping in public.
One testimony came from a girl that was working in a nearby trainer store, she came out and asked for prayer: moved by what we were doing she offered to donate to the cause. This is one of many testimonies of someone coming to Christ and hearing the word of God directly through this movement. We can see that through this project, many people were impacted, brought to tears, and encouraged by the boldness of young people Busking for Christ.

Unfortunately, however, in the last decade, arrests of black children have more than doubled in the last year and substance abuse; family problems and lack of employment opportunities are key issues affecting our youth - if we fail to make changes, inevitably, we will lose our youth; but we refuse to give up on them. The good news is that ‘the harvest is many’... the bad news is ‘the labourers are few’, meaning that young people are desiring to leave a life of anguish, anger and crime for a better life, as well as know who God is. However, no one is looking out for our young people. The police have given up, the Government has backed down and families have grown tired. It’s time we step out on the roads and bring them back to God.

Ultimately, the vision for the Busking Project is to see lost souls saved and eternally grafted into the kingdom of heaven. Years passing by and our young people are drifting further and further from God. We know from Acts 17:26-27, that God has a purpose for every soul; and has set us in respective parts of the world that we should all seek Him and find Him though He is not far from each one of us. Therefore, this move positions us as servants to our Master Jesus, and proclaim liberty to those who are captive, (Isaiah 61:1). Our youth are involved in various acts of violence that hurt and destroy families; bringing great darkness and pain. Nevertheless, there is One who can shine light out of the darkness and we believe it is Jesus Christ. We aim to do this by Busking on the streets of London; using both music and creative arts as the medium, to transform young lives.

What we need funding for:
This all can be achieved but we need your help:
Right now, we need equipment; a PA system, a guitar, microphones, etc to minister the word. Food: to feed the homeless and travel for the volunteers. We also aim to build an informative website with materials and information, to lead young people to a place where they can see other young people engaged in the word, alongside resources to encourage them on their walk.

How can you help?
- Donate to the cause. Donating helps us to evangelize; evangelism is key to bringing people to Christ and transforming lives.
- Share this link with your friends and family. This isn’t about equipment, but rather, about young people being led to Christ and having the opportunity to walk out of the darkness and into the light.
- Join us! If you would like to partner with us; whether it be financially, as a group, as a church or with your time, we appreciate any support.
- Follow our new page at _thecbproject_ on Instagram to share the mission or get in touch.

Thank you, once again for your donation!

Remember, London and our young people belong to God.
