Christian Dakan, 18 years old had been suffering from migraines for about a month. On July 25th Christian was diagnosed with craniopharyngioma, a brain tumor that will be removed on August 1st in Omaha at UNMC. He will then have to undergo intensive radiation therapy once he returns home.
Christian graduated from Kearney high school in 2018. He was a member of the 2018 KHS soccer state championship team. Christian was registered to attend Iowa Western to play soccer this fall. Christian is the son on Monte and Pam Dakan and the brother to Cinjin, Cedric, and Chloe.
The family will use the money raised to help with medical expenses, travel, lodging, time away from work and other expenses that will occur over the course of this treatment. Any monetary donation that you will provide will be more than appreciated as well as prayers for courage and strength for Christian and his family. As the doctor stated, “this is a marathon and not a sprint”.
