Christian H. McCoy
Christian H. Mc Coy spent his life a patriot, soldier, leader, husband and father. His recent retirement from 28 years serving in the United States Army Special Forces included multiple tours of duty in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other nations throughout Africa and Eastern Europe. Over the span of his career, Christian spent time serving as a Linguist, Special Forces Weapon Sergeant, and Special Forces Warrant Officer with 10th, 3rd, and 20th Special Forces Groups. Following retirement in 2018, Christian would continue to serve his country as a member of the Joint Expeditionary Team (JET) working in Afghanistan.
In addition to his acts of patriotism and duty, Christian was also known as a professional, considerate, knowledgeable, and hardworking father. He consistently placed the wellbeing of his family, friends, and colleagues ahead of his own comfort. His selflessness was extraordinary.
Sadly, on June 24th 2019, Christian paid the ultimate sacrifice, mortally wounded supporting the very same brothers he fought alongside for many years. This has been a devastating blow to his family, which includes wife (Francoise) and three children; Benjamin McCoy (20), Abigail McCoy (15), and Sydney Stewart (25).
As the family is now without Christian, we ask those who are able, to contribute to this Go Fund Me account. Christian’s family was of utmost importance to him and his reason for everything; therefore, any contribution is greatly appreciated during this difficult time.**Christian's funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 9th 2019 at St. Charles Church, 89 Briggs Ave, Pittsfield MA 01201 in Pittsfield, MA with follow-on burial at the Pittsfield Cemetery on Wahconah St).**
