Christian's Medical Fund

We are raising money for our friend Christian who has been diagnosed with stage3- 4 liver failure. She was diagnosed with Hepatitis C, after she nearly bled out 3 yrs ago.  She believes she contracted it from a bad tattoo many years prior. She had been trying to get care for over 2 years in AZ where she was consistently denied, and had to start the process over and over on many occasions. She then, relocated back to her home state of Washington in hopes that she would get approved for treatment. Thankfully she was approved 3 weeks ago and she has 11 weeks of treatment in front of her. If any of you know of anyone with Hep C, it attacks the liver and causes extreme fatigue, and memory loss, which has prohibited Christian from working. 

 

Christian is a self-employed house painter – when she’s healthy she is fastest and most accurate painter I have ever known.  She NEVER complains.  Not when all of her painting equipment was stolen, not when her dog was hit by a car and killed, not when she was ignored for treatment in Arizona, not when she was diagnosed, and not now. 

 

For those who know her and those who don’t; she is one of the kindest, funniest, and most giving people I have ever met. When she’s healthy, she fosters dogs and would give you the shirt off her back.  She’s my dogs’ favorite person (…she is a dog whisperer after all).  She has never met a stranger. She does not ask for help, so I’m asking for her.  I’ve never known anyone to be as grateful for life as Christian. 

 

Her medical bills are covered, but she needs help paying her household bills while she goes through her treatment. Stressing about paying rent and putting food on the table should not be her focus at this time. Now she is facing one of the biggest battles of her life and she has SO much life and love left to give. Please help us with raising 4 months of living costs for her, as she heals and comes back better than ever.
