Super Heroine in Peril! Christina Carter

Hi, my name is Troy and I am fundraising for Christina Carter, everyone’s favorite Wonder Woman. Some of you know she has battled LUPUS (Mixed Connective disease for the last 17 years. She has battled with grace and dignity while insurance companies have denied her coverage because of her “preexisting” condition. She has been in and out of the hospital while her doctors figure out what treatments work. She has done drug studies for Lupus with her rheumatologist, Dr.Wallace has extended her life with his care and she has thrived, most people don’t even really know she’s sick. Needless to say this is expensive without insurance. Her meds alone are nearly $4000 per month. I see her take 20 pills a day just to stay alive. Which brings me to the reason I’m starting this go fund me for her. She has been experiencing extreme exhaustion and tired muscles for several months and she thought it was just her everyday battle getting a little harder …. We have come to find out after some blood work that her CK levels which is an enzyme in her blood is 100 times higher than it should be and we need further test to rule out cancer and figure out what her diagnosis is. It could be several things but they believe it’s MYOSITIS IBM (learn more here about Myositis ). It could also be kidney failure from lupus or cancer so needless to say we are scared and as much as her fans have kept her going all these years she needs help to get over this financial impact of the testing cost which totals nearly $5000. So I’m asking friends, family and fans to donate to a medical fund for her so that money doesn’t add stress to an already stressful situation. She’s going to work and continue to be positive for as long as she can and your donation will be used to pay for things that insurance won’t cover which is most of the lupus issues.
