Christina Crackel Story & Funeral Help

Hi, my name is Aaron Crackel, the son of Christina. I am 21 years old nursing student at Cleveland State Community College. My beautiful Mama unexpectedly passed away Tuesday morning at 4:18 am at her home at The Health Center at Standifer Place. My Mama was very outgoing and joyful. If you have ever met Christina I am sure she has told you about me so in return I want to share a little part of her story. My Mama was born September 13, 1979, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Josephine Gomez and Edward Gomez. She grew up right off Hwy 58 in Chattanooga where she attended Harrison Elementary, CSLA, and graduated from Central High School. Her first job was at Bucks BBQ on Hwy 58 where she made lifelong friends. Her favorite job she had was at Home Depot where she worked for nearly 10 years and where she met my dad. Her dream job was to stay home and raise kids, and if you knew her she was the best mother a child could as for. In early 2016, Christina overdosed and was in a coma for well over a week without knowing if she will make it to the next day. Her vitals were constantly on a roller coaster until she coded and they could not intubate, so in order to temporarily secure her airway they performed an emergency tracheotomy in her ICU room. This led her down a painful and long path of trying to secure my Mama's airway and rebuild her stamina in order to walk again and try to maintain generalized good health in the best way we could. My amazing Mama constantly reassured me that she was fighting for me and that without me, she would not have made it through the multiple surgeries, the 11 CPR attempts, and the long recovery from each incident. She fought so hard.

Life was beyond unfair to her and she paid the ultimate price. I believe so much of her story was left unwritten and, the least I can do is celebrate her life with others that loved her. This is where I need your help. I am a full-time nursing student working part-time at Panera Bread. I am not the person to ask for help like this but I am running out of options, but please anything will directly help fund my Mama's funeral expenses as I am fully responsible for making her funeral happen.

As of today, there is not a date for her celebration of life as I am still coordinating with the funeral director, but I will keep this updated.
