Help Support Christina’s Cancer Journey

Hi friends. As many of you know, my sister in law Christina “Tuna” Finney was diagnosed with urachal adenocarcinoma within the past year. A rare form of cancer that presented as a tumor near her bladder. She had a successful surgery to remove the tumor, and was given good news it had not spread at that time.

Unfortunately, a recent scan identified a tumor that has developed in her liver. This was unexpected , and has seemed to develop quite quickly. Thankfully, her and my brother are in good hands with some of the world’s best at UCSF. The plan as of now is to perform another surgery to remove the tumor, as well as potentially going through chemotherapy post surgery.

The reason I am writing this is to ask for

Some help. Jared and Christina have been placed in a situation where they will be accumulating a high amount of medical bills. In addition to that, potentially long duration of time off work, and costs in the future for potential fertility type treatments due to chemotherapy.

Family will be helping them financially through this process the best we all can. But I am sure you know how astronomical medical costs can be with extensive medical procedures and treatments such as this. My brother and Christina are both hard working people who have made good decisions. They are hesitant to ask for help, but this will be placing an extensive financial burden on them that will impact their lives for years to come.

Anyone who knows Christina knows a person who is caring, genuinely kind, and selfless. She is a light in every situation she is in. She does not deserve what is happening to her, but she has remained strong and resilient. My brother has also displayed incredible support and strength throughout this process. Being diagnosed with cancer is always difficult. Especially at a young age , where their adult lives are just beginning.

Beyond grateful. If you cannot, that is completely understandable , I know times are tough. Even words of support are helpful. All donations will be going towards medical bills and costs related to Christina with full transparency.

I am not setting a specific goal in particular , despite gofundme requiring me to put a goal dollar amount. As anything they receive to help them through this time is greatly appreciated.
