In Loving Memory of Christina Lynn DeVore

We are so heartbroken over the sudden loss of my sister. Christina touched many lives. There are so many amazing stories and memories I could share of the kind of beautiful person she was. But I want to talk about who she’s leaving behind. Our mother, Carla, who was always her rock. Our mom is the kind of person who does anything possible for her daughters. And she did everything she could and more for my sister. Our dad, Rex, who was always helping her with manly dad things like working on cars. Me, her little sister, who she was always coming to rescue in times of need (& then telling our mom later about all the mischief she was getting me out of). Countless friends that she was always there for no matter the circumstance.

But most importantly, her babies. Gavin and Gabby only had 16 & 15 years with their mom. That’s just not long enough. She’s going to miss so many important moments in their lives. Finding their soul mates, getting married, having kids, graduating high school, so many big moments you need your mama for! And even the small moments, the times you need to talk to your mom and get advice on how to handle a situation, the times you want to tell your mom about a funny story that reminded you of her. All of those possibilities and future conversations just vanished.

Our hearts were already broken and now they are broken even more for her children. So please consider giving to my sister’s memorial fund, so we can give her a proper send off. Her kids deserve to say goodbye in a beautiful and memorable way. Anything that isn’t used for the service will go to her children.
