Christina Lopez fights cancer!

Christina Lopez is such a beautiful woman inside and out and my heart is absolutely breaking for her! Christina is such an optimistic person who always has a smile on her face. But the smile is so hard to be found these days from pain, mental and physical exhaustion! But her faith is still strong and she is so determined to get through this battle! Christina's story started a little over a year and half ago. She started having problems going to the bathroom like a normal person. So she went to her dr to try and get answers, was told that she had hemroids and gave her meds. This was not only 1 time, but several times this happened. After a year, the pain was so bad that she went to ER. But, unfortunately still no answers and sent her home with more meds. Not once had any of these doctors tried to order any additional tests. Finally In Jan 2017 Christina went back to the ER in excruciating pain and the doctor on duty said you need a colonoscopy. OUICK!!!!! So, the next week she was sent to another Dr at shands. She didn't express any kind of concern and just said let's get that colonoscopy. 3 months later she finally got in to get the colonoscopy, That was May 15 2017. She was not even awake yet when the doctor came in the room and said we have some bad news. Mind you, she isn't even awake yet! Then the dreaded words came out of his mouth.... CANCER!!! Stage 3 colon cancer located at the entrance of the rectum. So they sit and think after over a year and half they get this news and wonder if it could have been prevented. She started chemo June 19 and has 4 months of aggressive treatments. Then she will do radiation. Then surgery. All in reverse because of the location of the cancer. Doctors are hoping to shrink it or they will have to remove the rectum and she will have a bag for the rest of her life and the risks of that are many more infections and complications.

She's a great and well known and loved umpire from adults to children. She loves her softball/baseball and the ability to help others. She's loves baking desserts for the Trenton Football team and has done so for many years. She loves helping people rather it's just listening or going to battle with them. Let's show her our thanks and love and support that she's so showed her lifetime to others. Keep that smile going cousin because everyone says your smile lights up any room!!!

She is 43! She is a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a daughter, a sister, a aunt and she deserves nothing more than to be able to fight this cancer without having to stress about financial issues! The struggles began when Christina was in so much pain that she had to start calling out of work. The only income they have right now is her husbands... Tony is working non stop trying to pay the bills and now pay the mounds of medical bills. Christina and Tony are not the type of people to ask for help, so I'm asking each and every one of you to please, please, please help this family!!! Anything helps, whether it's $1 or $100. Every amount will be greatly appreciated!
