Help Christine During Treatment for Breast Cancer

Hi everyone! My name is Kim Townsend and I am a friend of Christine's. I have known her since 2008, when we met in Nashville. If you know her, you know she is the sweetest, most loving person. She has been recently diagnosed with breast cancer and is beginning the journey through treatment, both chemo followed by radiation. On July 16, she received her surgery notes and pathology report that stated the following:

1. Stage 3 breast cancer-Triple negative, meaning this is really aggressive

2. Invasive Ductile Carcinoma: 90mm

3. Other Non-Ductile Invasive Carcinoma: 6mm with at least 6 distinct areas of invasive carcinoma

4. First 3 lymph nodes: negative for cancer

5. 4th lymph node: postive for metastatic cancer

6. Margin status for non-ductile invasive carcinoma: all margins negative

7. Margin status for ductile carcinoma: positive

Christine has mentioned having medical insurance, but it will not cover the entirety of her expenses and recently, her income has been cut in half. Treatment is expensive and brutal for anyone who has to go through it. If we together can ease some of that burden for her, that would be one of the best gifts of support I can think of at this moment.
