Hi my name is Christine(Drake)Howlett im starting this fundraiser to help with my Medical Expenses, Bills, Rent, Etc.... since i will be out of work for at least a year maybe longer. I was diagnosed with Leukemia PH+ALL on June 28 2023. I had been feeling sick prior to my diagnosis but they said it was bronchitis, Sinusitis, It was neither I went to ER they said they needed to Life Flight me ASAP or i wouldnt have made it. I had hardly any blood in my body, they had no idea how i was talking, walking. So they Life Flighted me to Danville Pa that night and its still a blur of what happened when i got there until they told me they started blood transfusions and gave me platelets and a bunch of other things, I just remember being so so sick. This has definately changed not only my life in seconds but my familys also. Our world has definately been turned upside down but im a fighter and im not giving up i have been receiving treatments since that night. Let me tell you, its a very very hard road and you have to have positive energy to get through all of this. Im not cancer free yet and i do need a bone marrow transplant as well. Their still is no donor as of yet but they are still searching. This has been way beyond anything i had ever imagined. Im so thankful to have such a great support system, my family has been so good, i know it weighs on their hearts heavy everyday as it does myself as well. I just have to take it one day at a time. I want to live and im not ready to die!! I get scared, overwhelmed, sad, angry. I just want to thank everyone ahead of time for taking their time to read my story. I have an awesome fiance who is my rock who is there for me no matter what he pushes me when i get weak and i love him for that. I have 2 awesome kids that have been very supportive even tho its taking its toll on them as well.. I have 2 grandkids and a great grandson. So i do have many reasons to live and fight this battle. Its just a big financial burden all the way around, im now on a fixed income and its not easy, so if anyone could please help out i would be forever grateful. Thanks so much. Love you all!!
