PLEASE help me get my lovely mum the treatment she deserves currently not available on the NHS. My mum was diagnosed in March 2015 with bowel cancer that was at an advanced stage already, it had spread to her liver and lung. Her doctor started her on chemotherapy to try and shrink the spread ,she then had a scan and the doctor advised she had a break, my mum was coping well at this point. Then March 2016 the doctor decided to give her radiotherapy on her bowel to shrink the tumour and relieve the symptoms, this was 10 days treatment at Royal Preston Hospital, the side effects she had from this were intense and upsetting and she was struggling to cope but thankfully she got through and was scanned again but it had little effect but since then she has the bowel symptoms under control. August 2016 my mum began having symptoms of headaches and dizziness and was very unstable on her feet she was also slightly confused so we rang the doctor and they arranged an urgent scan on her brain, i went with her to have the scan and this was very upsetting as she passed out and was sick while waiting and had to be attended to by the nurses. Two weeks later she went back for the results and it was bad news, it was the cancer that had spread to her brain, her doctor arranged for 5 high doses of radiotherapy back at Preston hospital, but now the doctor has told us he can do no more treatment for her brain tumour. I really need everyone's help to get my mum treatment that the nhs can't provide for her. We are in contact with Harley street clinic in London who will be getting my mums medical records from the nhs doctor and hopefully advising us what to do next and if they can treat my mum. Also we are preparing to go abroad as they are more advanced with treatments than the UK. Myself and my dad have been researching for weeks and have two clinics in Germany but we need help with the cost to get my mum there before she gets to ill to travel. PLEASE HELP X
