Christmas at the Hogar Sagrado Corazón

Who We Are
We are the Hogar Sagrado Corazón, a home for abandoned, neglected or abused girls in Bolivia. The Hogar, which translates to Home, is home to up to 120 beautiful girls between the ages of 2 and 26. Most of the girls come here at a young age, and have the option to stay as long as they are in school. In this way, we can help them to transition into their adult lives. Many girls have sisters here in the hogar. The hogar is run by a Franciscan order of Religious Sisters called Servidoras Del Sagrado Corazón. On site, there are also various staff members and volunteers who give their lives to assisting these girls.
Our Fundraiser
We hold a fundraiser every November/December to raise money for Christmas. Without the support of our family and friends, there would be no money to buy gifts for the girls at Christmastime.
The gifts we buy are prioritized by need. The most important needs are often hygienic or personal items, or school supplies. In the past we have had the ability to buy a few larger or more expensive items that the hogar needs such as school uniforms or towels. Every year we hope to raise enough money that we can buy something fun for the children to play with such as sports equipment, playing cards, or nail polish.
We use this money to celebrate other holidays throughout the year.
If you would prefer to send a check as opposed to donating online, you can send it to our US affiliate Mara Fuller. Please make checks out to Hogar Sagrado Corazón.

Thank You
Thank you so so much for anything that you are able to give. In your gift, you enable us to keep alive the hope that their needs will be met. And not only that, you enable us to give them a normal childhood, full of laughter and dreams and joy. As we say in Bolivia, “We give you thanks with all our heart!”
