Christmas Cards for Military

Hello my name is Marlys Halbeisen I'm 80 years old, and I've also been called or known as the Wheat Ridge Christmas Card Grandma. For the past few years I have been sending our Military Christmas cards in memory of my late loving husband Don who served in the Korean War and who passed away from Alzheimer's in March of 2014. This year I have been funding this all myself and realize now I do need some help, and am needing the funding for my cost for postage I paid to ship the cards from here in Colorado to Washington, D.C. to United Soldiers and Sailors of America - USASOA who then ships them on to our troops overseas and to also help with all the costs of all the cards and materials I purchased to do all this. It was definitely more money than I anticipated. I have received a few very kind donations and for that I am very thankful. I did 18,000 cards the first year, then 44,000 last year, and this year I did 38,000 cards. It was 72 USPS priority boxes full and the majority of last year and this year I did most of the filling out on my own with a little help from my Red Hatters group , my Grange, my dear friends, and family. This unfortunately will be my last year for my Christmas Cards for the military as I just can't keep this going on my own any longer due to costs. I truly hope someone else might be inspired by the work I have done and keep this movement alive but I sadly I can no longer continue. So if you could PLEASE help me out I would be so very grateful. Thank you so much for helping support me in bringing some of our Military overseas these 38,000 smiles for Christmas this year and thank all of you for THREE absolutely AMAZING years of getting to do this, I am so grateful for you all. The biggest thanks I have to say is to our brave service men and women who are our the true HEROS past and present! Thank you all & God bless.
