Christmas Day fire: Rob and Rachael George family
Donation protected
My Sister-in-law’s family Christmas Day didn’t end the best. They had a house fire around 7 pm. As horrible as it was to watch their house burning, it was worse watching their children terrified and crying that we may loose all our “stuff”! Rob and Rachael explained that “stuff” is replaceable but their children, dog and each other are not!!! This Christmas has shown them how grateful they are for loved ones and not possessions. It doesn’t smell good in the house, things are ruined and they are very stressed and overwhelmed but they are safe and staying with us temporarily. Luckily the fire was in the attic and family room and their son alerted them before more damage was done. Unfortunately they discovered that their renters insurance had lapsed due to an expired credit card on file so the insurance will not cover replacement of any items lost. Much of their furniture and new Christmas Day gifts were ruined. If you have a small amount you could spare for this family to help them recover from this traumatic event we would be so grateful!
