Christmas fire emergency
Donation protected
On Friday, December 22, my brother, Terrell Tucker, and his significant other, Alicia Woolley, lost everything, including their beloved dog Boston, in a catastrophic fire that destroyed their home in Hayden, Alabama.
Terrell and Alicia needed to run to the store late that night, and when they returned a short while later, they discovered several fire trucks on their property attempting to extinguish the flames, but it was too late and their home was burned to the ground.
Their dog Boston usually went everywhere with them and was almost never left alone. On this cold night, however, they decided to leave Boston at home where it was warm, since they didn’t plan on being away for very long.
The Red Cross provided Terrell and Alicia with a blanket and a gift certificate worth $400 to help purchase food, clothing, and a place to stay. You can imagine how far such a small amount goes these days, it’s greatly appreciated but didn’t make much of a dent with their needs.
Terrell and Alicia have been down on their luck for a long while, struggling just to survive. There was no homeowner insurance, and so they truly are starting back over from scratch. They are in desperate need of clothing, food, and every other necessity you can think of, not to mention needing a place to stay. Currently they are staying inside of a large cargo ship container on their property that thankfully wasn’t damaged by the fire.
Please consider helping Terrell and Alicia in this terrible time of need. They need all the assistance we can provide to help them overcome this tragedy.
