Christmas Gift Baskets for Kids in the Hospital
Donation protected
We're putting together movie-themed Christmas gift baskets for kids stuck in the hospital, and we need your help to make them happen!
Crazy to think, but it’s already that time of year. The holiday season is quickly approaching and once again, we’re putting together movie-themed gift baskets for kids stuck in the hospital over Christmas. We’ll be using some of the leftover toys from companies who donated to screening events we've held previously; so kids will still be getting toys/collectibles from recently released films.
[Note: the images here are some demo baskets we whipped together. Contents are finalized just yet.]
We're also hoping to deliver other goodies in the basket in the form of theater gift cards, Netflix/Disney+ subscriptions, and more. This way, the families of those kids can still enjoy a night at the movies whenever it is convenient for them….Plus we got something new planned this time around.
As with last year, for a $35 donation, you’ll be BUYING one of these gift baskets for us to take to the hospital (each $35 donation equates to another gift basket, so you can buy several if you want!). Don’t forget that these are YOUR gifts to the children; we’re simply putting them together for you. We will include your name (you can choose to remain anonymous) on the basket you buy when we deliver it to the hospital, so the families will know who it came from.
This year, we’re happy to offer a brand new option for you guys in the form of “Premium Gift Baskets.” Some of the toys we get throughout the year are quite large (in scale and price), and they simply won’t fit into a regular basket. We want these to go to a good home, however, so we’re offering a limited amount of super-sized baskets!
For $70 you can purchase a Premium Gift Basket that we’ll take to the hospital for kids to enjoy. Because of their size, we’re limiting these to only 10. So if you want to secure one of these super awesome baskets, you’ll need to act quick.
I know it seems early to start, but we want to make sure we have plenty of time to secure as many gift baskets as possible. Last year we hit 30, more than previous years, and we’d love to go beyond even that. The local Children’s Medical Center needs all Christmas donations by the middle of December so they can have time to sanitize/disinfect them as necessary for the patients.
Remember, even if you’re unable to afford the $35 gift basket…that’s okay! A simple $5 or $10 donation will still go towards helping us build these gift baskets.
