Christmas Joy for Baden's Children

Last December, I stumbled upon an article from News Channel Five that shed light on a local organization in desperate need of assistance. The Buchanan Foundation, located in the North Saint Louis neighborhood of Baden, faced a daunting shortage of over 1,200 toys for children in their community. It seemed as though the children in Baden would miss out on the joyous Christmas celebrations that so many others enjoy.
Moved by the heartbreaking news, I decided to take action. With the help of countless generous and caring individuals, we managed to raise over $20,000 in cash and donated toys for the children of Baden. It was a true Christmas miracle, and at the heart of this miraculous endeavor was the Buchanan Foundation’s founder, Rosemary Ray.
Rosemary Ray is a beacon of hope and a true community servant. Her dedication to helping those in need, whether children, single mothers, or individuals battling addiction, is nothing short of inspiring. If there is a need in Baden, Rose is the person to see. Operating the Buchanan Foundation out of her own home, she faces the challenges of a neighborhood struggling with high crime rates and devastating needs. Yet, her home filled with donated gifts last year brought her immense joy, even when her personal spaces were overwhelmed with generosity.
This year, I am once again reaching out to ask for your help in stocking Rose’s workshop with Christmas gifts. The children of Baden deserve a magical Christmas, and your involvement can make this a reality. My experience with Buchanan, Baden, and Rosemary Ray has been transformative for both me and my family, and I hope it can be for you as well.

Financial Donations: 100% of monetary donations are used at stores like Walmart and Amazon to purchase toys for the children and stock Rose’s workshop.
In-Kind Donations: New or gently used items are greatly appreciated.

Toys for children ages 0-12
Basic Needs: Coats, shoes, mittens, hats, socks, pajamas, and clothing for all ages

Rose loves to meet everyone and last year many of our families enjoyed bringing their children to meet Rose and see the community and people their donations were impacting. It really is a special part of the experience. If you would like to bring your donations to Rose, she will be thrilled to greet you at the following dates/times:

Wednesday, December 11th: 10am-2pm
Saturday, December 14th: 10am-2pm
Wednesday, December 18th: 10am-2pm
Friday, December 20th: 10am-2pm
