Help Bring Christmas Joy to NC Flood Victim Families
Donation protected
Hi everyone! I want to tell you about what’s been on my heart, and hope you would be on board with helping and willing to spread the word to other people you know.
I want to do a Christmas Project for the flood victim families, especially the kids. Some of these families lost everything or nearly everything, and I think about how blessed they would be to have something “under the tree” so to speak, and maybe make their Christmas a little brighter knowing how much others are caring about them.
I headed up and worked together with others when we sent Christmas packages to every soldier in our son’s unit when they were in Afghanistan, and it was a huge success. I think this project can be as well!
My thought at this time is to ask mainly for monetary donations that I would take with me to NC when we go in November, and buy the gifts there. I’ll also accept a limited amount of already purchased gifts. We’ll be traveling in the pickup and can haul some things, but purchasing once we get there is a lot more practical. There would have to be a lot of trust, and I’d be sure to send accountability along the way about monies collected and pics of the gifts as they’re purchased and loaded on delivery vehicles. To watch progress as we get this going search for this Facebook page:
Christmas For NC Hurricane Helene victims.
I have contacts in the area for delivering the gifts, and am excited to get started!
So please give some thought to blessing these families at Christmas time. We don’t have a whole lot of time and need to get the ball rolling. I know I’m going to do what I can, even if on my own.
Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for your donation to this very worthwhile cause!
