Christmas nightmare Let’s help this family out!

Klinton (Cody) woke up with a very sore throat on Friday December 16th. He went to work and just played it off as a cold. The next day it was getting worse so he went to the doctor and they said it was just a viral illness that has been going around and prescribed him antibiotics. It kept getting worse everyday and the next two days he went in to the doctor saying it’s not getting better only worse. They just kept saying to let the antibiotics run its course. The next Monday he was in so much pain that he went to the ER and they gave him IV antibiotics and fluids and sent him home. Nicole came home from work Tuesday evening and Cody was crying out in pain because he couldn’t lay down. (We all know this is NOT normal for Cody at all!) after a very rough night Nicole brought him back up to the ER where they did a CT scan of his lungs which showed a lot of fluid around his right lung. They immediately put a chest tube in to help drain the fluid and the next couple of days they spent in the hospital draining the fluid. Around a LITER of fluid was emptied from his chest. They told Cody he had ruptured his esophagus. They conducted an esophogram on him to find out it was not this and they misdiagnosed him. He kept telling them it all started in his throat. Finally on Christmas Eve they did another CT scan on his throat to find a huge abscess in his throat that was draining down into his chest cavity. They immediately transferred him to the big Sanford hospital in Fargo to do surgery on his throat and suction out the abscess. The surgery was a success. Nicole and Cody were excited to have all of this behind them and to be able to go home. On Monday December 26th the surgeon was about to take the tube out of his throat to find there was a bunch more fluid coming out still. Cody was complaining that his chest hurt really bad. They took him in for another CT which showed his chest cavity around his lungs and heart are filled with this giant abscess. He is needing yet another surgery on his chest now. Both Cody and Nicole have been out of work for a week now and Cody is not going to be able to go back to work for quite some time. The hospital bills are adding up very quickly as well as regular monthly bills. They also have 2 kids and a baby to take care of. We are trying to take some of this burden off of a really trying time for them. Any donations are appreciated to get them back on their feet after this nightmare is over.
