Christopher and Thomas take an SUV to Ukraine

In 2025 the war in Ukraine will mark its third tragic anniversary. Three years on from the start of Russia’s illegal invasion into Ukraine and the need for aid – both vehicular and not – is as high as ever.

Across the country SUVs are needed to ferry people out of dangerous zones, keep lines of communications open, and to support local communities.

With that in mind, Christopher Sharp and Thomas Ashworth are looking to raise £1,500 to get a vehicle from the UK to eastern Ukraine. The £1,500 will help cover the costs of the 1,800-mile journey east.

We want to take at least one vehicle (two if possible) to Ukraine where they will serve civilians both during and after the war.

More details about the intended end destination will be released here soon but we need to start raising money right now.

This vehicle may seem like a blip in an ocean, but as the war enters another year that vehicle will be a life raft to civilians who need it the most.

About us

Christopher Sharp, 28, is a journalist with the Daily Express and has made two trips to Ukraine, delivering first a pick-up truck then an ambulance and a bus.

Thomas Ashworth, 28, is a PhD Student at King’s College London, specialising in Counter-Disinformation as well as the Politics of Central and Eastern Europe.

We all believe that doing nothing is not an option and that a change of government in the United States means the necessity of assistance has become more imperative, not less.
