Christopher Bell & Family Care

Christopher was admitted to the hospital on 7.30.18 with a blood clot in his leg.  The next day they discovered that he had an ulcer on his duodenum that had created a hole and the contents of his stomach had leaked into his body cavity and caused him to go septic.  They performed emergency surgery on him and are continuing to care for him around the clock in the ICU in a medically induced coma. He has continued to have further complications such as internal bleeding, kidney failure and he in danger of blood clots forming and moving to his head, heart or lungs, which could end him life along with having a staph infection as well as Klebsiella infection.

I am at the hospital daily signing forms, granting permission and getting fully educated on all of his options so that we can make the best choices for him along with communicating with each doctor and specialist and advising them on his medical history so that they can make better medical choices for him to get better.

The doctors are all telling me that he is VERY, VERY sick and deep in the woods and no where close to being OK any time soon. They are saying that he will be in the hospital a minimum of 2 months.

This has put an enormous amount of strain on our family physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and of course financially. 

Everyone has been so kind, thoughtful and loving through this very difficult time. I'm being asked how everyone can help. Along with prayers this is how everyone can help. 

With Christopher unable to provide for us right now and I'm unable to focus or to find more hours in the day to make up the difference with the income, I don't know how I am going to make it all happen. This very humbling to have to ask and the need is very real and URGENT!
