Christopher Evan Burke Memorial Fund
Donation protected
On Monday, July 24th, our dear friend and brother, Christopher Evan Burke, tragically passed away after losing his battle against drug addiction. He was only 32 years old.
Chris was an amazing person. He loved music, and put every ounce of his God-given talent back into it. Chris & Nate Wilkinson formed Steamboat Revival in late 2021. Performing at open mics and jamming across Kansas City, the two made connections and built the band that Steamboat Revival is today: an original rock n roll band that fuses funk, jazz, country, and blues. Chris was a gentle giant with a contagious spirit of love, goofiness, joy and adored by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
We are devastated by the loss of Chris and, more than anything, wish to support his beloved daughter, Ivy, as she navigates through this unthinkably dark, confusing and difficult time. Losing a father at nine years old is heartbreaking. We want to ensure she is able to receive care to deal with her grief, ensure that her love of music continues on through lessons and contribute to her education plan. We will not let her face these challenges alone, and we humbly invite you to join us in carrying this weight with her.
We are asking you, Steamboat Revival fans, friends, family, and beyond...all who knew Chris or were touched by Chris...let us gather around Ivy and help meet her immediate and future needs.
We appreciate any blessings that you are able to donate. If you are unable to contribute financially, then we simply ask that you share this fund with as many people as possible, and take a moment to share words of support.
We thank you for your love, thoughts and prayers, and of course, for your generosity.
May God bless you all,
Jessica (Burke) Townsend
