Christopher Gale’s – A Father Losing his Battle Against Colon Cancer, Helping to Plan his Own Funeral

We are reaching out to our community with heavy hearts as we share the story of our brother, Chris. Chris is not just a father, son, brother, or friend; he is a fighter and he’s facing the end of the toughest battle of his life. At just 45 years old, Chris has been given a terminal prognosis. Chris is a strong, loving, and caring person who has been battling this fight since August 2023. Chris is father of four children ranging from 13 years of age to 20 years of age and provisions are being made for the care of his children in his absence. Chris’ main focus and motivation to continue to fight since day one has been his children and securing their future education.

Christopher Gale was diagnosed in August 2023. Chris has fought so hard, and is continuing to fight. Chris has had 18 cycles of chemotherapy and until September 2024 we had hope that he was going to overcome this horrible disease.

We learned on October 3rd that Chris is unable to continue chemo due to the progression of his cancer and his overall health. Chris’ cancer has metastasized to his liver, abdomen and lower lungs. Chris is now in complete liver failure. His care team suggests that Chris has days, weeks, possibly months until the end.

Chris and his wife Jennifer, decided the next step of his journey will be to begin hospice care at home. The goal now is for him to remain comfortable until it’s time for his transition. Chris desires to transition surrounded by friends and family rather than in a hospital setting.

While he is continuing to fight and trying to be as positive as possible given the circumstances it is best to be proactive. We are asking for your support.
