Christopher Lysogorski Recovery

On Wednesday, January 1st, 2020 Chris and friends were snowmobiling in upstate New York. In a devastating freak accident Chris hit a fallen tree and was ejected from his snowmobile. He was airlifted to Upstate Medical Center where he underwent a 12 hour surgery to repair the shattered vertebrae in his neck.
His family is thankful by the grace of God, and Christopher’s willpower to live that he is still with us today. However, at age 22 Chris has a major spinal cord injury and has lost most movement in his arms and legs. The spinal cord was not severed, and there is still hope Chris will be able to walk again, as we continue to stay positive, and take one day at a time. A lot is still up in the air regarding his recovery and treatments, but the hope is to get Chris the absolute best care at Spaulding Rehabilitation Center in Boston.
For those who know Chris, you know that this prognosis will not define him, nor will it stop him from losing hope. Christopher's strong willed spirit and determination are some of his defining qualities, that we all admire.
The family asks first for your prayers. And are thankful for the outpouring of support, and love.
Secondly, we hope that this page relieves some of the financial impact no family is ever expected to face, or plan for. Chris and family have a long road ahead of them and it would be a blessing to alleviate at least some of the financial impacts.
We also hope to show Chris this page, and all of the support and love he has around him. If you are able to give even $1 this is a way to show Chris you are supporting him in his journey to recovery even if you have never met him personally.
Thank you to all who give, even if it is just your prayers.
