Christopher Muniz afford cancer treatment

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Mandy and I'm leading the fundraiser to help my step-dad Christopher Muniz afford the costs of his medical bills as he deals with his recent stage 4 esophagus cancer diagnosis. As those who are close to Chris already know, he has always been a hard worker whether it be doing construction, making his famous tamales, working on cars, or remodeling others houses. Unfortunately, along with the cancer comes side effects, and chemotherapy. This has made it difficult for him to continue working. Chris's health insurance benefits ended at the first of the year, following the end of his full-time job. Chris just bought his first home along with his wife, Morgan this year, and after a long time struggling to raise 5 children, they finally began to see the light at the end of the tunnel. In the last year, my mom and Chris were able to get married after 17 years together. They are asking for helping hand to pay for the cost of his medical bills along with their monthly expenses as they lost over half of their monthly income, and Chris has been forced to pay for all of his medications out of pocket while his wife works two jobs. While we know everybody is struggling right now, any donation you can make would be incredibly helpful to alleviate some of their stress.

Update 10/22/2023

Hi everyone! We truly appreciate all of the help, donations, and support that our family received when we posted this gofundme and up to this point. Chris has received cards, monetary gifts, handcrafted goods like food and blankets, thoughtful words and many prayers that have made a world of difference ❤️ with all this said, Chris is now unable to work once again due to now having to drive to u of m 5 days per week for radiation. This has also been a struggle as his wife attempts to manage her work schedule around being home to support him. While Chris is still trying everything and anything to get better we wanted to post an update in hopes anyone can find it in their hearts to continue donating to help him and my mom worry a little less.

On another note, we are always ready and willing to accept tamale orders if you are interested in supporting our families business, we understand orders have been low due to the current economic situation but feel free to call or shoot us a message if you are interested as that also helps a great deal.
