Christopher "RED" Bonner

We sadly announce the passing of our Beloved CHRISTOPHER "RED" BONNER, who passed away suddenly on 17 April 2023. As many would know most First Nations families are low-income earners and struggle from week to week Red was no exception even though he had a job for the first in many years he barely had enough in his bank account. His mother and family continue to work hard to support their own families also low-income earners. With the sudden passing of Christopher (Red) family and friends are appealing for support to go towards the cost of his funeral expenses, understanding that in these current times that families are struggling. It is envisaged that family, friends and community members will support through donating to our gofundme any amount of donations is appreciated. Christopher was born on the 18th of August, 1975 at Royal Brisbane Hospital to parents Vivian Bonner & Tiny Bonner, Christopher is the proud grandson of the late Senator Neville Bonner both descending from the Yaggara Language Peoples belonging to the sub-groups, of the Jagera/Ugarapal clan. Christopher is proud of his First Nations heritage and as a single father of two children Likkari and Kahn. In recent times securing jobs in labor work and cultural heritage working in his own country gave him pride, confidence and security as he was able to provide for himself and his two children.
