Hi, my name is Heidi, I’m Chris’s big sis. It’s with an extremely heavy heart that we announce the untimely passing of my baby brother. If you were fortunate enough to have known Chris, you know what a lasting impression he left on people. He was a proud son, brother, uncle, cousin, godfather, friend and most importantly, a father. His daughter Nevaeh was his pride and joy. For the last 12 years, she was his purpose. We never imagined he wouldn’t be here to watch her grow into a young lady.
Chris’s sense of humor was unmatched. He was quick witted and always making jokes. He loved to make people laugh and give people nicknames. Don’t get me started on his smooth dance moves! His presence is going to be sorely missed.
On February 20th, Chris went into the ER with vomiting and severe abdominal pain. Eventually they found he had pancreatitis. We assumed he would be treated and then be home in a couple days. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Later that evening Chris suffered a seizure and his heart stopped for a too long. By the time they got a pulse back, the damage to his organs was already done. Chris fought as long as he could but ultimately he succumbed to his complications.
Death is never easy and it leaves an unexplainable void on your heart. It’s even more difficult when it’s sudden and unexpected. His loss leaves us with not only emotional turmoil but financial hardships as well. We live our lives thinking we have “time” and we can handle things later, but sometimes later doesn’t come. As a family, we are contributing what we can to lay my brother rest but we can use some additional assistance. In lieu of flowers, we would appreciate donations instead. This whole process is extremely difficult to navigate while on deep mourning.
We are so incredibly blessed to be surrounded by so many friends and family who are beyond supportive in every way, we are forever indebted to our loved ones.
We appreciate all the continued love and prayers….Please pray extra hard for our parents, Lorie and Guy.
