Christopher Ware Memorial Fund

The year 2020 has been such a struggle for all of us. Our lives have turned upside down, and things we’ve taken for granted or as normal are no longer the case. All of us in Technical Support Services at WKU were looking forward to the holiday break and a chance to ride out the rest of this year. Yesterday those plans came crashing down as we learned the devastating news that our friend and co-worker, Christopher Ware, had suddenly and unexpectedly passed away in the evening.
Chris was a man larger than life. His good cheer and ready smile consistently brightened our days. He had a greeting and kind word for everyone, and you rarely saw him when he wasn’t laughing and encouraging those around him. For some of our younger staff, he was a mentor helping them get started in their careers. For others, he was a fellow Staff Senator working to make our environment an even better place. For all, he was a kind friend, and his passing leaves us heartbroken.
Chris leaves behind a wife and three children, one not yet a year old. There is no good time for the passing of a loved one, but it is compounded by this terrible year and the holiday season. We’ve setup this GoFundMe in hopes of raising funds the family can use to address some of their needs and expenses. If you are able, we encourage you to help this grieving family at least not have to stress over immediate financial concerns. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
