Chronic COURAGE

I'm reaching out to my friends, my family and to my community. My sister was diagnosed with systemic sclerosis last year and the symptoms are hitting a lot harder and a lot faster than we prayed they would. Over the course of the past year, we have discovered that she has all of the worst types of sclerosis. The disease unfortunately only offers a 10-15 year life expectancy after being diagnosed. It took her 5 years for her to get diagnosed… How much time did that take away? There is no cure and there are no MEDICAL FDA APPROVED medicines to make her feel better. I have sat back for the past few years and watched my sister change in almost every physical and mental aspect. It took 5 years for her to get diagnosed and in that timing, she has declined significantly. Due to stomach pain from eating certain foods, she fell off of her bed in pain and broke her jaw.
She was already only 112 pounds…. after her liquid diet of 6 weeks due to her jaw being wired shut, she is now down to 106 lbs.
Ginny is 36 years old and is a wonderful single mother. She moved to Colorado Springs with my nephew in 2019 where she has always dreamt of moving to.
Shortly after her move is when she began feeling sick.
This disease has taken away everything including her enjoyment and appreciation of life.
She's constantly sick, in pain and she is terrified of dying. She has medical bills piling up and it is impossible for a sick single mother to pay them.

I am doing this GoFundMe due to the weekly bad news we have been receiving and how bad it is affecting her major organs including her heart and lungs. Hearing results last week, I realized I was going to be burying my sister.

Systemic Sclerosis Breakdown: As we age, we lose collagen in our bodies and we begin to look old. Unfortunately, Ginny's body is creating mass amounts of collagen and will continue to make so much collagen in her body that it will eventually begin to harden her organs and they will no longer work properly and she will die.
She can have a stroke or a heart attack at any given moment…
Last week we were informed of even more bad news that she has nodules on her lungs meaning she either has lung disease….or lung cancer.

The only thing that has helped slow the progress of this disease and helped with the muscle and skin irritation and pain is NAD.
*NAD IV Therapy involves the intravenous delivery of NAD (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide), a coenzyme found in all living cells, to promote cell repair and regeneration, boost energy levels, and improve cognitive function.*
1000 mgs costs $1000 a month and thats the amount that she needs. She can barely manage the cost for 500 mgs let alone 1000 mgs. I'm looking to the McConnaughhay family the most. This is the realness of where we stand with Ginny's health.
Please help me keep my sister a little longer.
