Chrysoula Vroutos Portelos for Saint Marina Church

In lieu of flowers, the family of Chrysoula Vroutos Portelos has launched a fundraiser for the benefit of Saint Marina Greek Orthodox Church in Arethousa, Ikaria.

The church has always been in Chrysoula’s heart and it’s majestic bell tower overlooks Chrysoula’s family home. Built in 1915 to replace the village’s tiny Ottoman-era church, the church is in need of various enhancements to preserve its original beauty including a fortification of the rare three tiered bell tower.

We would be grateful if friends and family would consider making a donation for the benefit of the church in lieu of flowers.
