Last Friday we learned our close friend, BBQ brother, and family man, Chuck Blount, was in the hospital and had been diagnosed with a chronic condition that his body cannot heal from. The family will be moving him into hospice in the next few days.

Whether you know Chuck as a colleague from the Express-News, you own a restaurant he profiled, are a member of the competition BBQ community, or just benefitted from his tips and tricks from his columns, Chuck has made an impact. He will forever be known for his big smile and hearty laugh and love of food and family.

We want to help in any way possible and, with the permission of Debbie, Chuck’s wife, we are setting up this Go Fund Me account to help with the hospital, hospice, and other expenses they will be incurring with his care. Any remaining funds will help Chuck’s high school-aged daughter. Please find it in your heart to assist with all the bills that are coming in.
