Hi, we're the Keener/Hendricks family. Our uncle/brother/friend Chuck Hendricks needs your help.
He has spent much of the last year in surgery and recovering from operations to both of his knees and both of his hips. All of the surgeries were planned and necessary for Chuck to retain his mobility, but two of those surgeries nearly cost him his life when he suddenly became septic post-op.
After many weeks of recovery and rehab, and after finally being able to return to work, Chuck was doing great.

Then the day before Thanksgiving, on his way to breakfast with a friend, he was hit head-on by a driver under the influence of drugs. The guy was shooting heroin when he swerved into Chuck's lane.

Chuck suffered several broken ribs, a broken wrist, and a broken hip (news article). The wrist and hip both required new surgeries. He has been in the hospital ever since, unable to celebrate Thanksgiving, and is now looking at 8-12 weeks of recovery.

His previous surgeries drained him of his paid time off, not to mention his energy, and now he enters the holiday season with a very uncertain future.
Everybody that knows Chuck knows that he would do anything to help his friends and family, so we're asking those same folks to lend him a hand this Christmas season. Any little bit you could contribute would be most appreciated.
